Stained glass is the medium that speaks to me the most. The form is solid, yet the work is fluid; light and colors change throughout the day due to the sun’s shifting position and differing weather conditions. I love this change, how the glass sparkles and shines through the constant transition, and how the work can look vastly different from one minute to the next. As a lover of functional art and antiques, my affinity for stained glass is natural; I believe art exists in every corner of our lives, inside us and all around us.

I'm a life-long artist and native Iowan. Earning my BFA in painting from the University of Iowa in 2008, I also worked at the University of Iowa Museum of Art throughout college, handling and cataloguing the collection. My current projects include custom stained glass windows, mosaics, jewelry, and painted murals.

I teach private lessons for individuals as well as groups of any age using step-by-step instructions to make your very own, unique art. Lessons are tailored to your ability. I'll provide the art supplies, and you'll leave with your masterpiece. Lessons are available for painting, drawing, stained glass, mosaics, and beaded jewelry. Great for kid's birthday parties, team building, family get togethers, girls' night out, and a million other reasons you want to get creative.
